I want to see yalls knobs š¤£. Basically the Exhaust Roll Call thread but for knobs.
Those lever type shift knobs never look comfortable to me - though I get how they'd work well for a sequential shift trans where you're just pushing/pulling.View attachment 66630
Decided to give a likewise shifter a go. New ābuild your ownā range. Itās heavy and tall. I even got the āshorterā one. Makes the shift feel floppy. I like the look but the feel is not optimal.

I like the rounded bulb shape of my STI Duracon which feels nice with a palm down action - and would appear to offer more ergonomic operation of the reverse lockout ring(?).

For sure a personal preference thing. I like the STI Duracon shape because it provides really good purchase and comfort while providing great feedback as to what's going on (due to the material/lightness).I had the STI leather gear knob, basically the same shape as that, and decided I really don't like "ball type" shift knobs. You basically always have to hold it on top when shifting. Not my preferred way to shift. I prefer getting a good full hand on the shifter like a bat or gun handle, ya know? It's not bad, just prefer it the straight shift knobs or tear drops. I have to admit this Likewise one is slightly too tall. The Tomei Duracon one is the perfect size and shape for me.

The heavier than stock leather wrapped STI knob doesn't seem very appealing to me. After sampling the Duracon knob I'm in the lighter, more feels, camp.![]()
Billetworkz have some great quality stuff if you're looking for more to try.Yeh I agree, actually. I have been through 5 shift knobs now. The factory one, the STI one, Tomei Durcon, Kazama Auto, and now the Likewise one. Wasn't a fan of the factory or STI ones due to dull feeling and shape. I actually really like the Tomei and Kazama one. Just trying something new and more premium. The last 2 I got didn't even cost me 50 bucks total lol. I'll see how this one goes.
Yeh billetworkz on my list to try one dayBilletworkz have some great quality stuff if you're looking for more to try.
Billetworkz Hybrid Shift Knob
I would give WC lathe werks a shot, Chris over there does excellent work. I had a plain stainless sphere knob and just ordered a titanium "titan" 1.7" knob with 6 speed and GR engraving with blue bronze finish. I will post pics here as soon I get it.Yeh billetworkz on my list to try one day
