Pavement Gray on the GR86 would go well with some Bronze Volk wheels!

 

Damn, that looks really nice. The new shape really works with this Grey.

 

Classy, is it the same 61K dark grey color from the previous GT86? I think it looks lighter in the pics

 

It should be the same color as the first gen 86's. Though it does look much better on the new car imo.

 

Looks like a lighter shade on the GR to me, but who knows.

Agreed, the cleaner design really helps here, unlike the GT86.
What lighter color would you get it in?

 

I'm waiting for a light orange or maybe even yellow colour for my last thermic engine car. They will be forbidden in Belgium in 2035. That's in 14 years...

 

Pavement Grey with Matt grey alloys would look good as I’m not a fan of black alloys

Pavement grey doesnt convince me yet. I always thought the car would look amazing on a darker grey, but out of all the pics I've seen already none seem to work out for me. The car loses lines.

I'm likely gonna get the white one.

I find Pavement a frustrating colour - in some photos like those posted by Pablosx above it looks terrific on the new car; in others that show the grey as darker with no blue-ish tone it looks meh, as in Haskin's post. I will have to see it in person again, even on a current-gen car, to decide if I could go with it (it's now clear the paint is carried over).

I might consider Pavement again after seeing how many people are getting the 86 in White. Lol.

Another batch of pavement gray photos! Looks like this is from a dealership.

 

Color looks better on a BRZ. 0-60 times are largely down to the skill of the driver. Soyfan Bay of Red Line did a 0-60 test in a Base an Premium GR86 and his best time was more than a half a second slower. However, the general consensus is that the GR86 is now equal in acceleration to a Miata and will pull away from it, the longer the straight is. It will not out accelerate a Golf Mark 8. But 0-60 of course does not reflect real world driving. More important is the superior mid range of the GR86/BRZ over the Miata.

What is the dark gray Aston Martin color. I know that their Silver is called "Silver Birch" My current plan is to paint a corvette in that silver....

 

Yeah I don't get people calling the color selection weak. This one looks good! They all look relatively good. The only one I'd never personally buy is red, but I think the red looks excellent! In the end, I'm probably stuck between the two blues... or back to me original choice of white.

 

Anything but weak. Just picked my ”Pavement Grey” BTW on the sticker says: MAGNETITE GREY METAL/AM20

 

If I go for a GR86 its Neptune Blue. If I go for a BRZ Ice Silver Metallic or my second choice Rally Blue Pearl.

 

Seems like Machine Grey metallic on the MX-5.

 

Pavement Grey is looking good , I’m thinking the all black alloys would look better in a very dark chrome finish 🤔
