Looks like a lighter shade on the GR to me, but who knows.

Agreed, the cleaner design really helps here, unlike the GT86.

Pavement grey doesnt convince me yet. I always thought the car would look amazing on a darker grey, but out of all the pics I've seen already none seem to work out for me. The car loses lines.

I agree.
There's a good reason why Toyota/Subaru mostly features them in red, blue or white throughout all the marketing material we've seen so far. And that's because those colors are among the best for this design.

I'm already starting to imagine how great Pavement Gray will look with carbon fiber parts like lips, splitters and even canards.
