I have the Toyota version arriving tomorrow, so I’ll confirm when I get it, but I am also under the impression that it is battery operated. From what I read about other models, the battery lasts ~3 years, so for the price difference, that sounded good enough to me.

I like it. I might just go ahead and buy it. Kind of don’t like that it’s battery operated but I like the look.

So, I ordered it without the information being listed but assuming it was battery operated because of the price difference. However, it has all the same wires as the above video, and it doesn’t currently turn on without being plugged in, so?!

This thread is awesome! Just ordered my Toyota version (love that discounted price!), and should have it in a week or so (perfect since I got on vacation Saturday). Cant wait to install it along with some other interior goodies that are on their way.

Update: installed with no issues using @PhatFreshPrince video (thank you!). It’s definitely hardwired, so I don’t know why some of the part number listings say battery operated, but whatever. You’ll need a t20.
@blaze2100 called it - it doesn’t have the compass feature, so if that’s a dealbreaker for you, you’ll probably want to pay for the Subaru version.
I was able to set up homelink with no issues at all!

FYI, I installed the Toyota one pictured above in my AT GR86 and can say that the cable that comes with the mirror is too short to allow the cover between the mirror and the headliner fit when everything is in place. The issue appears to be the extra wire routing needed for the bracket that holds the AT eyesight system in place. Personally I just neglected to install the cover, everything works as intended other than that. Plug and play.
Folks should take a second look and see if the AT gets a different part number with a longer routing cable included.
