If anyone is interested. The HKS LEGAMAX Premium Axle-back is exactly what I meant by a less resonanted axle back compared to stock. It's a bit louder than stock but not comparable to straight piped versions.
As changing the axle back is way faster and easier than changing the mid pipe it might be appealing for some.

I hope we get TĂśV for that one...

I don't think so because it's louder than stock.
Close noise level +5db to stock.

But it almost looks like a stock exhaust. Bet TĂśV won't see a difference and it isn't really loud :)
yeah they will definetly think this is straight from the factory LOL :D

So HKS legamax is louder than milltek?
Obviously I haven’t heard them in person but what I’d suggest is that the resonated Milltek is as loud as the stock exhaust but sounds louder because of frequencies.

The HKS Legamax is in fact a bit louder (+5db).

Milltek without mid pipe resonator might be even louder than the HKS axle back but I’ve only seen one short clip and there are no measurements yet.

And the GR86 Milltek compared to the GT86 Milltek?
I’d say similar. That exhaust also had papers to be legal. I find the resonated Milltek was a good exhaust for the 1st gen if you planed to install a catless header with 200 cell secondary cat. Cold start with that combination and the windows vibrate on old start. Friend of mine is always shy to leave the garage because of that :D

For me, my personal preference would be something between the HKS axle back and MBRP axle back but since we don’t have that I’ll stick to the MBRP for now.

I had a milltek on my gt86 for 51km, but it was too load (droned)

Glad I bought the resonated midpipe as well  worst case I only wasted 140€ if it's too loud or drony.
So ur setup is resonated Milltek cat back and a non resonated Milltek midpipe right? Cause i am planning to buy the same thing but before i wanted to be sure that its all good with this setup. There is droning? And, if u have some clips can u send me something? Thanks!!!

Yes exactly. Keeping the resonated midpipe in the garage just in case. Installation is next Monday, I'll post clips around mid January.
