Ark has a rear diffuser kit that covers the black plastic. I have this kit installed in the car (funnily enough, it's literally the same exact one pictured in the website because I bought if off that guy), I'm a big fan of it. Also, with installation, it uses the factory pop clips alongside tape, so there's no permanent modifications to the rears.

That makes it ALOT more appealing.

 

Unless you have a true flat underbody, all diffusers are cosmetic, so find one you like the look of. I kinda like both Tom's and Max Orida, but could never justify that kind of money for cosmetics.

 

Tom's quad pipes are different but having Awe Touring makes it less desirable. Honestly not a fan of the Orido but mainly because of the grey plasticy diffuser still being there.

 

It looks slightly better than stock bc of the part under but not my cup of tea. I don't like the round form and cheap looking plastic of the stock.

 

For an improved look over stock, but maintaining stock/OE parts, you can always go with the STI rear diffuser. JDM is Crytstal Black, and the USDM version is Ice (silver).

 

if you dont like the matte plastic maybe wrap it with a gloss black or other film?

 

I don't like plastic add ons period, bc of this reason - cheap looking
