Looks nice. I would think you would have to do something to control/change biasing and I would assume some R&D time would be needed here.

 

Bias is shifted to the front about 7% when using both the front and rear calipers from the WRX. I opted to only do fronts as bias is only very slightly affected when only doing the fronts. A lot of discussion on this swap is out there, and a member on this forum did a bunch of math that seems to be accurate based on other threads in the FT86Club forum. This forum's post containing bias changes can be found here.

 

Look's very nice. With how expensive BBKs are I think the only financially sensible way to get upgraded calipers is to go through this route.

 

What rotors did you go with and where did you get them?

$2020 for performance package. How can you beat this? The rims and tires alone are 2K which doesn't include Brembo brakes and Sachs dampers.

 

Sure if you're buying a shiny new '24 GR86. Doesn't matter when you're talking about upgrading brakes on a '22-'23 (or a '24 without factory installed PP). The PP parts will be far more expensive than $2k at the parts counter (if/when they finally become available).

 

Oh that's where things might take a turn with OEM pads for the WRX it comes from. It came with new hardware too which was nice. I will start from there then adjust later if needed. I like incremental upgrades.

 

What are you torquing the front calipers too? I’ve seen 59 ft lbs and 85 ft lbs. Not really sure?
