Got my base 6AT on 1/1/22. Love this thing so far. I’m coming from a 04 Celica GT and a 11 TSX Wagon. It’s so much more nimble than my modded Celica.

There it is. I was wondering how the side duct thingys would look on Pavement. They're not horrible, but would look better if they were more boomerang shaped. Is this your car?

 

I wasn't a fan at all until I saw it in person at the local dealership. It does look lighter than the first gen gray, but it could just be the reflection off the white floor.

 

That looks great , just needs the alloys in a dark sliver/titanium colour that the BRZ gets and that is such a classy looking car 👍😎. Hoping we get Pavement Grey in Europe 🤞

Are the mirror caps black or the same colour as the body on the Premium, it’s hard to tell in the photos ?

 

Always black for the GR86, both trims. BRZs are body-colored.

They finished up the tint today.

 

Added smoked vinyl overlays to the taillights and third brake lights. Figured I'd share how it looks on pavement. I didn't do the side overlays, It was a little too much black for my taste. I'm happy with how it turned out.

i ordered same color and trim, should be in within a month. i know they call it pavement grey. but its same color as
F-35 fighter jet. so i call mine stealth grey.

I went all the way across. The strip was a little larger than I was expecting, so it was something I had to get use to from behind the wheel and having it right there in my view. But ultimately it doesn't bother me anymore. Provides real use, and looks cool from the outside.

My Galaxy Grey NC Miata had the same issue. I think it's because one is metal and the other is fiberglass.

Mine is consistent color across the whole car. No difference at all.

 

Just added the aero cover for the trunk gap, here is how it looks. Blends in really nice imo.

I got it here. Came out to $193 shipped. Not cheap, but cheaper than most of the other places selling it.

 

The instructions where all in Japanese so I just winged it. I think the proper installation it should be a bit further up with a larger gap based on the pictures online, but I thought this looked better to be more flush and it still seems to drain fine.

 

Since the previous post I have added the red mirror caps and wrapped the antenna pod with red. The Vivid Ultra Gloss Racing Red is a perfect match to the Subaru red mirror caps. Just having a little fun with the GR86!

 

I'm going with a little more subtle look on the mirror caps. They're ready to install, so I have to get off my ass and do it.....

Picked it up yesterday. It was a fun drive to work this morning.

 

It’s been 3 weeks and so far I’ve done the LED swap out, the cheap exhaust tip solution, tinted my side markers and rear signals and added the Factionfab wheel spacers. (20mm front and 25mm rear)

 

picked her up yesterday, added clear sidemarkers, all LED lightings, gr aero, grimmspead tower brace, spare tire from ebay, washed and waxed.

20mm and 25 mm spacers, hks exhaust, mtech clutch spring, billetworkz short shifter, door stabilzers all still in living room floor waiting to be installed.

what a fun ride so far 😍

What LED lighting swap? I've heard this more than once. I thought the entire headlights were LED?
