New Guy, Dealer Logo Removal Tips?

Picked up a 2022 Pavement Baseyesterday after being on a couple waitlists and deposits for a couple months. So far enjoying the car very much, looking forward to 1000 miles.

This is a daily/track toy and as such wheels/tires, brake pads and fluid, and camber bolts are some of the first things I will be doing. And a duckbill cause they look great.

On to my question: what is the best way to remove these logos from back glass and hatch? I’m pretty comfortable with DIY as long as it’s a clear process.

Lastly, thanks to @Vertigyn , @LacroixDP, and @racer01 for answering a bunch of questions for me and “motivating” me to get back into something fun. Cheers.

Also for anyone out there Pedersen Toyota in Ft Collins, CO was great to work with, would recommend.

Thanks for the advice all. Now to find out if my wife’s hair dryer gets hot enough to peel the paint stickers

Also I don’t know if anyone out there cares, but forward facing car seat fit just fine behind the passenger seat. I don’t believe anything will fit behind the driver seat for most drivers, however. I also very much doubt the rear facing seats would fit at all, but might work in a bind without a front passenger. Just some observations!

Yea pretty aggressive, my wife texted me “nice dealership logos” as we started off on the way home to rub in the salt lol.

I asked them twice to remove them and apparently the salesman was concerned for his job if he had them removed. I guess it just happens to be a sticking point with Mr. Pedersen? In any event having to remove a couple stickers wasn’t worth a fight in the context of an otherwise very smooth deal on the car. But yea, dealer plate frames didn’t last 5 min once I got to the house haha.

re: ft Collins: every time I go there I like it more. Great for the kids too.

Well apparently I typed a reply but never clicked “post.” Anyway all stickers came off by hand and with rubbing alcohol / quick detailed to keep things clean during and clean up after. No razor needed just used my dull stubby thumb nail.

The one on the rear painted part is pretty normal dealer stuff but that glass decal is freaking obscene. I agree with the above posters on heat guns and razor blade on glass only plastic blade on paint goo gone etc.
while I’m ranting about car dealers ours tried to screw my wife on her trade of her Corolla and screw her on the interest rate for her payment but we took a photo of the signed agreement on the numbers so my wife since I was home with Covid caught them in the act ,scum bag sales manager and finance guy ! 🤬
don’t get me started on dealers right now because the prednisone I’m taking to recover from Covid makes me one mean son of a b*tch I can’t wait till the Jehovah’s Witness come when I’m home.
After I left a 43 year IT career with IBM I went to work in the parts department of a Mercedes dealership and good God you wouldn’t believe the markup and you wouldn’t believe the cheap crap they put in those cars that breaks at 10 or 15k miles ,one car at 13,000 miles had a sunroof control mechanism replaced four times! Mercedes s*ck and so does Lewis Hamilton and the f*cking F1 evil empire that Toto Wolff is trying to screw every other race team in F1 on the floor changes because his car s*cks and Ferrari and Red Bull got it right.
</rant>
There I’m sure I’ll get slapped by the moderators 😜
Freaking obscene is spot on for the window sticker haha. As for Toto Wolff ok maybe and yea the floor deal is wack but we will have to agree to disagree about my man Hammy 😤

Glad everything came off ok!

your man Hammy is one helluva driver, i would never question or denigrate his skill, but I haven’t cared for the ‘personality’ since Hungary 2007 when he broke an agreement with the team and Alonso about qualifying order.
I would like to see him and Alonso join Vettel in retirement and make more room for the younguns (and F1 other teams get off their high horse and approve an Andretti entry to the circus)
Fair point on the personality side of things. Pobodys nerfect. As for Alonso I agree but Lewis is still right there so it’s harder for me. Pastri seems like he will get a seat now so that’s cool. Was really hoping to see Mick keep the momentum going from Silverstone and Austria but alas.

Was just crushed for Leclerc last week. That scream was heartbreaking.

I was hoping Alonso would get one more crack with a car worthy of winning and/or challenging for a title but it won't happen with Alpine and it won't happen with Aston if he moves there.
Next year is Lewis' shot at #8, I just hope they let George continue to have his fair shot as I'm happy he's doing so well (although him saying Leclerc's crash was due to porpoising was huge
Toto-speak so George is quickly learning to play the corporate/team game). I will say the Mercedes museum in Stuttgart was damned impressive but that was back in 2014 when I went to get my first Macan and Lewis was still climbing the title ladder toward Michael's record (which I don't want broken).
I'm happy Piastri will likely get a seat and I am hoping DeVries does as well, but I feel bad for the Hulk, I've always liked the guy but he won't get promoted from his test driver role :(
I was crushed as well for Leclerc, I hope there is something to it more than driver error but we may never know. Ferrari this year is a lesson in how NOT to win a championship when you have the best car. I was hoping they'd finally deliver. The jury is still out on McLaren's 'rise'. I really like Lando and Danny and especially Andreas Seidl (huge Porsche fan and owner here, followed Seidl closely during the 919 campaigns and really looking forward to the LMDh and HyperCar wars on both sides of the Atlantic).
I'm not so sure I want Porsche in F1 but you can't blame them for hooking up with Red Bull (big Newey fan as well, not so much Marko or HornerSpice). They obviously did their due diligence in determining how and with whom they'd come into the circus. Audi-Sauber I'm MEH about, I just hope the Sauber name remains.
Big fan of Mick and hoping he does really well the rest of the year.
Enjoy Hungary this weekend! Nice to meet another knowledgeable F1 fan here (I've been a rabid fan of the circus since 1983, went to Montreal several times. in '97 I held Schumacher's steering wheel touring the Ferrari garage (friend I went with was friends with Nigel Stepney, now what EVER happened to his book on Spygate in 97 ?) Also toured the McLaren garage since I was in Coulthard's fan club and met David (nicer guy you'll never meet) and Mika (he was the MAN) and Norbert Haug (Ron Dennis was not around). And that year I was one of probably 3 people on the start/finish straight that stood up and cheered when Jacques hit the Champions Wall (surprised the Quebecois didn't lynch me !)
Those sound like some awesome experiences. I am newer to the sport than 1983 by a couple decades but it’s a lot of fun for sure.

As for Ferrari, well, let’s just hope Carlos can continue to be both driver and race engineer haha.

It was definitely A LOT. But 20 mins to remove, life’s good no big deal.

In other news, DS2500 pads, camber bolts (Whiteline… that company takes me back), and a color matched plastic duckbill (Suma) have been ordered. Castrol SRF and alignment in the next couple weeks.

Trying to convince myself to buy sticky tires for the base wheels but…. So narrow. Trying to resist a wheel+tire purchase for a car with 150 miles on it.

I’m looking to copy your SSR GTX04 choice in 18x8.5 +44 with 245/35 tires. I wish the falkens came in 245/35 but the closest choice is 245/40 which is probably fine but a half inch higher wheel centerline is a thing. I’ll probably end up with ps4s which was my biggest draw to the premium (and the spoiler) but just didn’t want all the extra stuff the premium came with.
Ill look at those mirrors - checking my drivers side blind spot out the back window alley oop around the driver seat will prob get old fast.
