GR86 Premium Speaker Upgrade

I know everyone’s “go to” to upgrade the speakers is the OEM Audio+ route but at $499 I think it’s over priced. It only addresses 6 of the 8 speakers and the 6.5” door woofers always seem to be on back order.

I have a Rockville spare tire subwoofer and a Beatsonic amp coming.

I really want to address the stock 8 speakers. Any non OEM Audio+ solutions?

Quite a few people have got the Focal IS TOY 165 components to replace the tweeters and the door woofers. They are drop in with included cabling so very simple.
Otherwise there are a few threads in the How to part of the forum and the Interior part.

theres a good selection of 3 way component sets that you could get to replace its just the custom aspect of it. and im not sure how effective the beatsonic amp would be if you go that route due to the crossover

Cancelled OEM+ because the 8-speakers are actually good when they're powered correctly.

I set the Rear gain to Noon and Front gain to ~10 o'clock.
