Decided to do a couple mods.lve watched so many exhaust videos but cobb doesn't have to much to go by just there own.right now it's 925.00 l like the price and the weight.but from what l can hear l like the sound of the borla s type. l have read a lot of post but not much l could find on the cobb titanium.any thoughts my eyes are blurry from reading and lve fell asleep twice to the cat back videos .lm looking for something that l wouldn't have to turn my music down to here when l put my foot down.but not to obnoxious.leaning toward the borla s type.

I'm going to definitely think about it.l had a 88 mustang l just add headers l loved the way it sounded it was only loud when you got on it.and lll probably keep the car a long time anyway and don't really think I'm going to have any problems.l thank you for your opinion l like it

You are in luck. My neighbor and I just installed a Borla S Type on a GR86 and a Cobb exhaust on a BRZ on the same day. I would say sound is subjective. The Borla is a little deeper tone but both are completely acceptable and not too loud.

Build quality was extremely nice on the Cobb but is good on the Borla S as well. Welds on the Cobb are very pretty. I am picky and am satisfied with build quality of both.

Regarding install. The Cobb is much easier as you don't have to worry about rotating the muffler in the tunnel and tips can extend in and out / left and right so it's much easier to get it aligned just right. The hangers are on the muffler on the Cobb vs the tip assembly on the Borla. That being said, one of the Cobb tips was pretty tight and would only go in so far. Maybe some heat cycles will allow a bit more fine tuning.

I don't think you can go wrong with either.
Thanks lm probably going to start with headers.l never thought about it untell lt was brought to my attention .l think this will give me enough sound.and give me more in performance but lm still trying to decide if l go cat back leaning towards borla s type thanks again

I just noticed your post . thanks I ask my neighbor and had him help me pick out the borla type s.I figured if I had him help me pick it out there would be no complaints.I do love the sound no pops just a nice rumble when you down shift or let off the gas.and when you run open throttle people know your there .loud pipes save lives.
