To my knowledge without a tune designed to make pops n bangs the AT cars just dont do it. The MT cars will do it with any exhaust mod it seems.

The most poppy it can get is under load and shifting hard. It makes a bit of noise when it snaps the throttle body

 

As said, that's a thing on the MT due to the tune.

 

AT do pop on upshift with aftermarket exhaust.

Cars "pop" on lift off throttle due to dumping unburnt fuel past the valves and into the exhaust, and consequentially out the exhaust, and has nothing to do with the exhaust but rather the air fuel mixture, ignition timing, or "tune"

 

The reason people correlate it to the exhaust is because the stock exhaust has such beefy mufflers that you can’t hear the popping even though it’s still happening. Which is why when you do any sort of aftermarket catback, the pops get released.

you are correct; I did a bad job of wording that and had not seen your post.

In any case, the MT involves more pops and bangs due to more unburnt fuel etc.

 

I have a Auto with the Corsa Cat Back (SKU:14864) it does have "pops" at upshits, first to second if you shift at 5k it will pop, then second to third at around 4.5K-6K it will pop again but a little quieter. Hope this helps, this Exhaust was so worth the money, it has ZERO drone at highway speeds.
