Well, fastrack claims he called to "Toyota Czech Rep. HQ" and they told him everything was cancelled. Hopefully it was just someone from the reception making fun of him :D

I guess they are just reluctant to deliver any cars with 200g CO2 before it is clear that the fleet average will be ok at the end of the year.

I ordered my car in Czechia. The order was ready in the first 10 minutes of the orders beeing open (21.02.2022 9:00). The dealer informed me that my order was the first in the country. The delivery date on the order was 30.09.2022. In July I wrote an email to my deler asking if the date is still valid. After 2 weeks they replied that my car was delayed for 6 months due to an earthquake and it will be delivered in march 2023. At this point I don't know what to think.

:ROFLMAO: that's some sci-fi level of imagination for excuses from them.

I just got invited to a GR event here in Slovakia where they will present the GR86. So at least we get to look at it, and I assume they would not bother if the orders were cancelled. Although I bet they will show one with the DAR paint just to rub it in.

I would completely exclude "info" from Czech dealers in this thread. It has just been BS after BS. Excuses with the earthquake that shut down production for WHOLE 2 DAYS in April. Suppossedly making orders with no confirmation from Toyota corp... When I wanted to order the GR86 in Czechia all dealers wanted to chit chat in person or via phone and refused to email... that all speaks for itself.

PS: It literally took less time to order and put down the deposit for the GR86 in France than those chit chats with Czech dealers about exclusivity, chip shortages and the tragic earthquake.

Agree ;)

My experience was very straight forward ... called up front in January they promised me a call when orders will be open ... 21.2 they called we agreed specs and signed contract. Right now I'm not getting any excuses I'm just getting "no order that we placed has been planned for manufacture yet we do not have more information" :)

To be honest ill wait till mid 2023 and if nothing would be confirmed by then just buy something else.

Ok then, I will wait for the answer, as my dealer is less talkative :D

Guys, my dealer just called me back after closing the loop with importer and confirmed they have complete oposite information then shared in Czechia - there are confirmed builds for orders from this year in Q1 2023 with first deliveries expected in Q3/Q4 2023. Also mentioned that there has been some orders cancelled in Czech Republic due to allocation constraints for Europe. So positive news at the end of the day, fingers crossed...

I have received a reply from Toyota HQ CZ stating that they are waiting for a vehicle allocation from the manufacturer for 2023 and are unable to set a delivery date of my car. No further response to the questions I asked over the phone. I have emailed the same person who wrote the requested questions again and so far no response.

WARNING PURE SPECULATION:

Other than @Karlosak, I don't know of anyone yet who knows about delivery of his car in CZ. But Karlosak is ordering through Emil Frey, which is run from HQ in Switzerland. The individual Emil Frey dealers in the EU, therefore, logically inquire to HQ in Switzerland and have completely different info from the dealers in Toyota who have info on the situation from HQ in Prague and that is subordinate to Brussels where the allocations are decided. No wonder then that Emil Frey knows nothing about the things the Toyota dealers tell us. And it is quite possible that the 6 cars @Arnie J claims will be delivered to CZ are from Emil Frey. Further, how is it possible that CZ is not getting delivered this year and other EU countries are? Do you know of anyone ordering from a Toyota dealer who will get a car this year?

Mine is from Brno. There are two dealers, one has nothing this year and the other should be getting 2 cars of 14 ordered, the rest cancelled as I wrote. But that's what I'm being told. I don't trust anyone anything anymore until I actually get the car :)

PS: Please don't call them, they won't tell you nothing meaningful anyway :D

I have some small news from Italy, all the ordered cars should come before the end of the year. It turns out that the cars are not all released yet, they do it one by one. Mine is not yet, so it's still there at the dealer waiting for the go ahead. Gotta love bureaucracy.
