Picked up one of these out of opportunity last week and figured I would share the pictures/video that were taken yesterday for the purpose of for-sale listings.

Have put 200-something miles on it so far and the execution of the 6-MT really feels great; the auto-rev match works perfectly, the throws are short, the gates are extremely notchy, the clutch characteristics feel pretty damn good for an out-of-the-box setup. Also love that I physically fit way better in this cockpit / seat than the BRZ.

I'm not a big fan of the two tone tan/black interior, and somewhat indifferent toward this particular exterior color.

After having tested a ZF8 Supra for a good amount of time as well, it is noticeably better than the auto in the BRZ and was a joy to use. I've also realized that I'm not one of those people who fall into the category of wanting to row my own gears for the sake of rowing my own gears and would happily take a top-tier automatic or DCT with excellent response times instead. The manual-trans luster has probably worn off for me a while ago after having had a few manuals as daily drivers throughout the years and the whole MT-specific "driving connection" feeling that journalists tout just doesn't resonate with me if given a brilliant automatic as the alternative. All I want is the ability to select my gear of choice and have an instantaneous-feeling response whenever I choose to change gears; I simply don't give a fuck how it is accomplished and must be missing the synapses that direct me toward getting long term enjoyment out of the novelty of working a clutch and lever to do so.

Considering all of the above, I've decided to sell this and go for a standard 3.0 Premium mated to a ZF8 automatic instead.

Enjoy the photos/video!

I drove the Supra straight after the Lexus ISF.
A lot of it was very good.
But I found the automatic worse than in the 10 years older ISF. There are better solutions.

Car looks good, I'm sure the power and handling are good but it's twice the money so not an apples to apples comparison.

After driving all of the various mommy mobiles we need for kids and testing a few cars I'll probably never not have a manual in the lineup.

I don't understand how people relate the two different experiences as similar. There is probably more similarly btw a dct and a manual than a dct and a cvt but that's about as far as I'd go.

Well, this bad boy finally sold today.

Not really sad to see it go since I stopped driving it many months ago at 500'ish-miles after deciding to sell it, but I'm excited to hunt down a ZF8 auto to replace it with!

Nitro Yellow is my top color preference and what I'll choose if I end up buying new. For now, I'm keeping my eyes out for a smoking deal on a used one — open to considering Turbulence Grey and White if everything else about the car and deal are attractive enough.

Here's some exhaust porn of a SP1R Titanium single-exit that I have waiting to go on the next Supra:
