And seeing the range the pedal has, it should still be able to reach the plastic floor stopper without issue also. That will mean it will hold shape fine without trying to bend back if it was floating off the stop at full extension.
Yes, doesn't appear to be a problem with travel of the pedal and feels soooo much better to drive. Happy days.

Yeah, it’s a good quick fix and definitely makes the driving experience better. When I sat in the new wrx, the throttle height is actually near equal to brake pedal height. No idea why that couldn’t of been done with the brz also.

Dealer just messaged me and said my car is in Bris undergoing the compliance check and will be able to set a delivery date for later this month! Time to decide on whether to get a paint matched TRD duckbill spoiler for my Ignition Red BRZ or to buy a black one for a bit of contrast.
Where are you getting the spoiler from? Not sure what’s the best option for buying one in Aus

Zero offset has prepainted options. Early reports say that the paint matching is very good.

Hi Guys, may I know what floor mats are you guys using and where can I order them online.

I have taken delivery of my BRZ last month, but the floor mats and Boot wheel cover are still on back order. No updates yet.

My driver side carpet has started peeling already and now need to get Floor mats immediately before things get worse.

Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks.

If you haven't checked in the last few days, maybe check in with your dealer. I'm in almost the same boat. Picked up my car 2 weeks ago without floor mats, boot liner and fender garnish. I contacted my dealer yesterday and the parts have all arrived so I'm now arranging to go get them fitted.

I have the Gen 1 mats from FitMyCar (online).
They fit perfectly in the Gen 2 & even have the OEM style retainer clips.
They are excellent - OEM quality but under half the price!
They don't have the heal pad, but even if I need another set later, I am still in front!
Australian Made.
There are 3 different thicknesses (mine are the medium) & many colour choices.
You can buy 2 or 4 (the rear footwells are hidden & does anyone use them?)
The service was excellent & they send them by Express Post.

Stopped in at Jarvis Subaru Adelaide and they had a spare cover, that I had on my contract. Definitely worth a try with your dealer, might be there.

I haven't bothered with the spare cover.

I have used a generic rubber mat from Repco (GV Style 118x80cm). It fits perfect front to back. The side corners are a bit short below the tail lights, but can't see in there anyway. It folds up the wheel arches a bit, bit could be trimmed if desired.
I fill the spare wheel with stuff (could put a bit of heavy cardboard or light ply over the donut if needed).
After a bit of heat from being parked in the sun, the mat takes on the form of the donut quite nicely.
The bonus is it is very cheap to buy & it stops everything sliding around during spirited driving!

Imo it's not worth getting the wheel cover.

Might as well order the gen1 86 cargo liner as that will make the boot way more usable.

I agree. The spare wheel cover was thrown in by the dealer for free. So I don't care as much.
While it has still not arrived, I have got used to storing my backpack or other odd shopping bags in the wheel well and not being worried about them sliding all over the boot when I attack those round abouts 😉

Also, while I was waiting for my car to arrive I always thought that the full size spare would be annoying and will eat into valuable boot space.

After 1 month of ownership, I think it's a blessing in disguise. I love using my car as a daily and the spare wheel acts as a nifty storage well for my gym bag and also as great storage divider to lined up all my grocery bags around the wheel. Not once have my grocery bags been thrown around in the boot. I much prefer the BRZ for grocery runs than my SUV now. LoL.

Hi guys,

does anyone know what this is??? there is this black strip thingy underneath the windshield and it has started coming off :((. I have pushed it back in but I can see that it's severed already. is this something that's covered by the subaru warranty? what's this called and what's the purpose of this thing?

Hard to see in the photo, but I've had other cars with a foam filler strip there, just to fill the gap, I think.

Unless the car has been damaged or something poked in there or had a screen replaced, the warranty should cover it.

But if it means removing the screen or dash to fix it, I'd think about whether I wanted to do that, as it may cause more problems than it solves?
