I'm not usually one to start these sorts of threads, but I've grown to prefer this forum over the other one. And they have a similar thread to this so...

I just bought these items personally:

Did some things this past week.

- Tien H lowering springs. To me, these are a perfect OEM+ drop if you will. This is how the car should’ve come from the factory. Very comfortable ride quality while gaining look and performance.

- OTL Equal Length catted Header (coated). I’m not a fan of the WRX sound. This header sounds great paired with the GR catback. It’s actually LESS “droney” than the OEM header paired with the GR catback.

- Car has 900 miles on it, so changed the oil with some 0W-20 liquidmoly full syn. I’ll swap over to a 5w-20 next change.

- Next up is a wee bit of tuning…

Would be curious to hear some sound clips if you get a chance.

Did this the other day but didnt get any pics until today.

Added GR door stabilizers and the door mirror aero fins (had to drill a 10mm hole in each mirror so a little invasive install wise):

Would you say you noticed a difference in steering response after installing the door stabilizers? Always wondered about it and would potentially install a set if there was a noticeable difference.

Unfortunately I did not, but that's not to say they don't improve it under the right conditions. I don't track my car and only do spirited driving, but they do make the door close sound and feel more solid.

I feel these would make a potential large and perceptible difference on older cars, but this thing being 50% stiffer than the first gen already means it's up there.

On the first gen some users said it makes a huge difference to turn in response time and it would be their first mod on their next car. Some users didn’t notice a thing.
Such a polarizing product. Thx for the review

Yeah, I remember seeing the same thing, but again it might just be that the use case is more for track driving where you are really pushing the chassis as hard as possible.

Changed oil, went back to Pennsoil Ultra Platinum 5w30. Oil dumped was Castrol Edge 5w20 & had bout a quart of consumption over the ~4500 miles. Previous oil changes were with the Ultra Platinum (5w20 & 5w30) & I had zero consumption. Obviously there are many variables that can contribute to consumption but we shall see how this interval turns out. Sitting at 16500 miles at the moment.

Also, applied Kamikaze Collection Over Coat (because I have an addiction to trying new detailing products 😅). Initial impressions, hydrophobic properties are top notch, adds a bit of darkening & pop to the color of the paint, the shine is great but Polish Angel High Gloss is still the king of shine IMO.

So if you like shiny things above all else & like paying the price for it, go with Polish Angel High Gloss...for everything else a spray on coating can provide, Over Coat is the best I've tried yet.

@DeliciousTuning I'm looking at the tuning options y'all provide, and wondering how it works (I've never gotten a tune before).

I currently have the OEM intake w/ charcoal filter delete and AWE touring catback. (will probably get UEL headers soon too). Wondering if I need / should get a stage 1 or stage 2 tune. If I do get one, do I need to find a shop or something nearby? (I've been having trouble finding a shop anywhere near me that wants to work on a BRZ)
Installed sway bars and RCLA today. While doing that I found out my endlinks were seized. Luckily I haven't thrown away my oem endlinks yet. Also lowered the coilovers 1/2 inch all on corners and switch to the OEM summer tires. Tool me all day. Got an appointment for alignment in the morning.

The installation and reflash of the vehicle is fairly simple. All you need is a Windows based laptop and the vehicle. After your purchase we will send you the hardware you need to connect to your laptop and the vehicle. From there it is a couple step process to reflash the vehicle.

For now I would order the Stage 1 package and we are offering free updates to our tunes through June I believe.

Parallels no. The USB connection is not steady and can cause a drop out while flashing. If you are using a MacBook with bootcamp and windows on that, it will work.

A Verus throttle pedal spacer, Cusco throttle pedal plate, a duck tailer carbon fiber spoiler, a carbon fiber license plate panel, some carbon fiber interior pieces for the center console, some crush washer gasket so I can do my transmission fluid change, Cusco front and rear strut tower braces. Some other stuff that I can't remember. Oh yeah, a J&L catch can (PCV) side.

Threw on some Muteki lugs, gave her a wash and snapped some photos (more in my build thread, didn't want to overload this thread).

Even though I have the factory liners, I bought TuxMat for the front and rear footwells. Hopefully they will be here ina few days. Didn't bother with the trunk liner as I find the factory liner for the trunk pretty sufficient.

Added some custom purple door inserts. Pretty happy with how they turned out.
