What car would you sell or trade your 86 for?

I don't own an 86 yet but likely will soon, but wanted to see what other cars current owners would get rid of theirs for, before I take the plunge. I'm still open to other sporty cars, 2 doors or 4, RWD or FWD, etc. As long as it's well sorted then I will probably like it.

if Lexus redesigns the RC300/350, shaves about four or five hundred pounds out of it, and gives it better MPGs, I’d buy one of those. To me, the twins are mini, lightweight, more fun, less luxurious versions of the RC…. and I wouldn’t mind a little more quiet and luxury.

I am currently shopping the BRZ vs Civic SI, Elantra N, Mazda3 Hatchback, GTI, Mustang EcoBoost, etc, for something under $39k. I will not be taking the car to a track or drag racing with anyone either. I just want a fun car to drive that has more room than a Miata. And whatever I end up with has to be with a Manual Transmission. No automatics for me regardless of any benefits they may have, because my requirement for fun to drive is only with a manual. I don't care if you can out run me, you will not out fun me!

I did GR86, BRZ, Civic Si, Mazda3, gently used BMW 2-series/1-series with maint paid off, ND Miata, Elantra N.

Now, it would be GR86/BRZ, Civic Si/Touring, BMW, Elantra N revised.
You can call me old fashion, but I'll trade my GR86 for a 1971 HEMICUDA. Sorry.

Not going to lie, there are times when I think to myself "Should have gotten the Si" when I try to cram everything into my GR86.

In my case, that's Civic Touring considering local traffic. It's a compromise one way or the other.
I greatly prefer how RWD feels, so sadly the FWD cars are lost on me (I'm sure the CTR is great though and would like to drive one). If practicality was a concern, it would be Mazda 3 turbo hatch, GR Corolla, or an IS350.

Has anyone driven an Elantra N? I've heard it punches way above its weight class.

I've driven a Kona N and was pleasantly surprised by it. It was quite the silly vehicle in all the best ways. Not what I was shopping for, but fun nonetheless. I'd imagine the Elantra is better in most ways.
