I'm doing a more progressive upgrade/build as more companies come out with parts. Outside of a bunch of parts from blackhawk japan and counterspace garage, I am curious if anyone had thoughts about Racer X fabrication.

Otherwise the obvious answer is a winning lottery ticket, live on dividend investments, and get a Civic Type-R to complement the GR86.

I feel like I have to jump through hoops to get the Porsche GT3 I'd want, and even then if I go the pre-owned route, it's $100,000 premium.

just be aware the GPU in laptops are not the same as the ones in a desktop. 4080 laptop is significantly less powerful than a 4080 desktop

But yeah, if I actually allowed myself to dream I'd have an Elise and a defender. Though I would also have a better house, that's paid off, and a bigger garage in said house!

just be aware the GPU in laptops are not the same as the ones in a desktop. 4080 laptop is significantly less powerful than a 4080 desktop

Don't get the desktop 4080 either...it's priced intentionally to make the 4090 or 3080 look better.
Also why not get a desktop?

Got a laptop 3070ti, going to return it. Doesn’t compare to the desktop 6900xt even with DLSS on (unfair I know)

To go laptop you’re leaving the equivalent of the next higher cards power on the table, plus fans are super loud. Unless you really need to game portable desktop will be cheaper and more powerful

If you're gonna get a gaming laptop, I encourage you to watch this video. Lots of good info about how your 3080 isn't always a 3080. I share this with everybody who wants a "high end" gaming laptop.
