Reviews have started coming out about the Supra's new 4-cylinder engine and it might provide some insight on what we can expect from the GR86.

Autoblog did a comparison video on the Supra's exhaust noise between the 4-cylinder and the inline-6.

So from all the reviews I've watched and read I would say that 90% are positive and liked the Supra 2.0 and some said that they preferred the handling to power ratio of the Supra 2.0 to the 3.0. So again it makes me look forward to what the GR86 will bring to the table.

The BMW B48B20 4-cylinder is apparently a great engine so that makes sense. But it's still a BMW engine and not Toyota lol. But fingers crossed Toyota and Subaru can deliver something similar.

Assuming its the 2.4 from the Subaru Accent and NOT with a turbo its not going to be in the BMW catagory. Still it should be a nice upgrade from the current 2.0.

Yeah it will be a much needed upgrade.
