Only a little more than a year before the new 86 😎
June makes a lot of sense for the release date. As for the GR trims there has to be a GR version of the 86, especially since Toyota is bringing the GRMN brand to North America! Finally!
I can't wait, especially after reading this info that came from a Toyota dealer conference:
Something tells me there won't only be a 260 horsepower version but something more by way of some GR trims we've seen.
- a new platform with a 260HP Turbocharged engine
- better interior
- RWD
- Release Date: Summer 2021 (I heard June)
Sigh. The interior is fine. I'd rather have the same interior without the weight increase of a 'better' interior.
- better interior
I still wouldn't be surprised if that better version is only available in JapanFinally!

Yea, but isn't that ALWAYS the case?I still wouldn't be surprised if that better version is only available in Japan
I'm already preparing myself for that. There's going to be a least 1 sweet version that we won't get because it's an exclusive.I still wouldn't be surprised if that better version is only available in Japan
GRMN 86 pricing still surprises me. At $53k, its not an easy purchase for most to consider.yes, just like the GRMN edition for the 86...
If that wasn't enough to reinforce this chart. Toyota re-introduced the Venza, which is going to be a hybrid!I never really doubted it, but that is good news.
A small part of me was worried this was all BS..... I guess the part we really don't know is if it'll be that turbo engine. I sure hope so.
I was always surprised that the Venza was such a flop.If that wasn't enough to reinforce this chart. Toyota re-introduced the Venza, which is going to be a hybrid!

The Toyota Venza Is Back, And This Time It’s Hybrid Only

I'm generally not a fan of crossovers but if I was forced to pick one the Venza would've been one I'd consider. Let's see if Toyota gets it right the second time.I was always surprised that the Venza was such a flop.
It's essentially a Camry crossover and Camrys sell so well.
I think it was too close to a liftback lifted Camry. I think it reminded people of wagons and how uncool they are. Looks like the new one is a bit taller and just a sleeker, more stylish Rav4.I was always surprised that the Venza was such a flop.

It was terrible looking, I'll give you that.I think it was too close to a liftback lifted Camry. I think it reminded people of wagons and how uncool they are. Looks like the new one is a bit taller and just a sleeker, more stylish Rav4.
