I think you'll like it. Not going to rattle your teeth out, but definitely a good improvement.

Let me know what you come up with for the wired remote. I just have mine coming out from under the rear seat for now. Haven't come up with a good home for it yet.
@Ritter has that car so dynamatted up the sub is gonna shake his fillings out lol

I don't want to be a "boom boom" car, lol. Just would like some subtle low frequency extension.

I was going to ask what you did with the remote, lol. I have a storage pocket on the passenger side that I really like. I might get another one for the driver's side. The RJ45 for the remote could be fed through the cable hole, or not. The problem with feeding it through is then the storage pocket can't be taken out of the vehicle without disconnecting the RJ45 and pulling the cable out of the trunk.

My spare tire subwoofer causes my trunk to rattle quite a bit. Should i put sound deadening on the bottom of the trunk or on the lid?
Kind of depends on what's rattling. It might that be the sub itself needs some foam isolation from the trunk floor so it doesn't just vibrate itself against the floor.

I've held off on getting one of those, but that might be the best option. Not keen on leaving it lay about, but also don't really want to drill holes in anything for a more permanent mount/routing. Son suggested putting it in the console (and that would have been my first choice if we had more interior storage), but I put my phone in there laying on top of the cupholders so it'd have to go under it. I don't want to dig my phone out of the way every time I want to adjust the sub level or bass boost.

I just bought some polyfill from the craft store and stuffed it in the hollow rear corners of the trunk under the L/R foam insterts. Not sure if it's any better/worse than the rock wool, but it was a lot cheaper. I'll stuff some in the hollow side panels too if/when I take them off for sound deadening. Bought 2 bags and I haven't even used 1/2 a bag yet.
That’s a better idea, I think. Maybe not as sound-dampening as the mineral wool, but won’t be left with a large extra quantity either.
I found poly quilt batting at Walmart for extra snuggly-ness. :D

I'm thinking it might be convenient for cut / fill into different shaped spaces. I'll see how it goes.

I pretty well stays in place by the pressure between the console and the bolster. The pocket part rests on the edge of the bolster so it doesn't fall down in the gap. You could put a 1-inch adhesive strip of the 'hook' side of hook & loop, and it would stick to the carpet for added stability. I've found, though, that adhesives tend to melt on hot days, not worth the trouble. Maybe if it was sewn on?

Oh, no i dont want adhesive so that's good. You have a link to it or was it something you just kinda found that works?

Also.. i'd like to give an enthusiastic WTF because i didn't know the autos got an extra cup holder! I assume the shift linkage interferes with the manual but im weirdly jealous of that lol

It doesn't. You can swap the auto console into manual no problem. I know there's part numbers and instructions on here somewhere. Weird that they bothered making different consoles at all.

My theory is that the designers thought the MT purists didn't need no stinkin' cupholder gettin' in the way of their MT bidness!

You can choose 1-pack or 2-pack.

I think the MT shifter goes straight down into the trans, so no interference issue.

Yeah, I did both. The main reverb/rattle I got was the passenger side of trunk. Posted an update in my spare tire thread a couple months ago. I used carpet padding since I had a bunch on hand (Free).

Just ordered the RockGhost V2. With 10% coupon & free shipping, it was $190.75 Kentucky sales tax included.
Ohhh, nice. You will have to let us know how it is. I have the older one that is 8”. Maybe I should upgrade? 😂 With all wiring, it is so cheap. Wiring kits alone can be 50-100. $190 shipped is a crazy cheap/low risk investment.

I treated just my boot(trunk) with Dynamat.
Not sure I'm in love with the 'candy wrapper' decal design - with Aussie cars you do see some through the gaps in the spare wheel - but maybe less 'low rent' than seeing the painted metal.
Mitigates some tyre noise from the PS4's, particularly that resonance effect that can occur on coarse asphalt at some cruising speeds.
The boot is pretty easy, don't know if I could be bothered pulling out the back seat to add any more as I'm fine with how it is.
