Question for my brake nerds. Bought used pads, specifically Ferodo DS2500.
Went to press the brake and straight to floor. I assume that was because the used pads are more worn down than the new stock ones and the calipers need to adjust distance of caliper travel. Turn the car on pump the brakes a few time and it looks to have contact. Checked the brake fluid and capped it off. Ran a few 50-5 sessions to get them bedded.
Yet the brake pedal is still sort of squishy. Didn’t mess with any bleeders and at no point was the reservoir open. I’m thinking tomorrow I’ll bleed them as the pedal is pretty squishy now. There must be air in the system now which sucks as the pedal feel was good before. Luckily I do have Motive bleeder and two fresh cans of ATE Race fluid.
