Question about wheel size

2075 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Hooster
Since it seems like its going to be awhile until I get my gr86, figured I'd go ahead and start shopping for some new wheels and tires to replace the stock 17s on the base model.

I'm really only getting new wheels for cosmetic purposes. I know a lot of this comes down to personal preference, but some opinions will help me make a decision.

I'm thinking I want to stick with 17x7.5 so that it remains close to stock, or would 17x8 be better to do since I am updgrading? Any considerations?

I am also unsure about the offset. Is there any downside or considerations to be made with choosing say 38mm with that size? Or should I just stick to 48mm? Somewhere in between?

Appreciate any responses! :)

I would strongly recommend sticking with stock dimensions. They are that size for a reason.

I do agree that you can do a lot better than the stock 17s, good luck.
