Port to Dealership

So, I'm not sure if there's just been like, a shipping delay when it comes to vehicles being ingested at the ports (which sounds about right tbh) but I really feel like 2 weeks is more than enough time for at least something to have happened already. Is 2 weeks a regular time to be waiting for your vehicle "At the port"
I'm just antsy because I signed back for my car back on the 27th with a promise of the vehicle going to be here "mid May" and nothing concrete. I just want to know if I should call the dealership already and get some more straight answers or something cause for the most part it feels like my salesman is blowing me off when I try to ask if anything new has happened.
I'm roaring to get into the vehicle already like most. I do have the VIN, but lotta good that does for me without the vehicle.
(Patience is only so thin already because the first car meet of the season is this weekend so I'm really hoping to have it 😅)

I can't offer you any helpful information I'm afraid, but I share your frustration. My BRZ landed at the port on 4/29, I signed for it on 4/30, and since then...no movement. I even found the car at the port on Saturday, but my salesman texted me this morning saying there still hasn't been a truck assigned to bring it to the dealership. Very frustrating knowing it's just sitting there.

That’s even worse I’m so sorry.

But update for y’all, my salesman is blowing me off.
I called the dealership and someone was able to immediately see when it made it to port and which one (Long Beach on 4/29) meaning he was literally too lazy to check.
Side note he didn’t need my name or anything just what color my car was and was able to look it up for me 😂

No ETA, just some facts that were being kept from me it seems. I got a faint explanation that it either is backlogged at port (it’s Cali so that easy to see) or they simply haven’t updated it like a misread package label in shipping

You have your VIN handy? I can use the API tool to check for you and see what it says at the very least.

My dealer is one hour from the port and it took about 2-3 days for it to finally get onto a truck to make its way down after the ship docked.

According to the tracker (and it may be wrong for whatever reason; i.e. not updating), your car hasn't left Japan as of yet.

A= Allocated (in the process of being built +/-)
F= Freight (ship or rail)
G= Ground (invoiced to and on it's way to your local dealer)

Mine went through all of these statuses and I tracked it from Japan (found the ship etc) to my door. I wish you the best...

My car arrived at port a day or two before I actually went to the dealership to put my hold cash in (April 5th). The car still isn't here.. but it is apparently on a rail into the SE US. I had an ETA of 5/4 - 5/9. The ETA disappeared on the 8th. There's a bottleneck somewhere for sure.

weird. my car arrived at port of PDX via RoRo on April 9th and the car was at the dealer 2-3 days later and I picked it up.
