Not sure if this is the best solution unless you are letting it sit for months on end. The paint will get micro-scratches every-time you put it on and take it off from loose dirt on the car. Let alone when the wind get its it'll be like moving a fine sandpaper across your car.

Just get a sunshade for the interior and add a ceramic coating to protect the paint. The car cover will do more damage than just letting it sit.

Agreed, that "cover" will do way more damage than good.

Weirdly, my E46 was hammered by hail in a freak storm in Croatia. I stopped being a BMW fanboy and got into Shelby Mustangs. The M cars are still awesome performers, but the nose is hideous.

Still have my E36 M3 and an E92 M3. My 86 is now my daily driver. I do miss my E46 M3 though

That was probably my favorite of all. My GT350R is a close second. My GR86 is also my daily and a hoot. It does need more power, particularly at 7K elevation.
