Oil Brands: What are you running?

I run Torco SR5-R

I used Castrol Edge 0W-20 for the only oil change I’ve done on the BRZ so far.

I’m not wedded to any particular brand, especially since I’m not tracking (or driving like I am).

Motul 300v 5w-30

If that isn't available, I'd prob run Castrol Edge Euro that meets ACEA A3/B4, 30 or 40w.

I run Castrol Edge 5W30 in mine at 3k intervals

Mobil1 FS 0W-40

Walmart special penzoil platinum.. usually under $30/5 qts !

Quaker State Ultimate Protection

The QS was $23 for a 5qt and it gave me the placebo "oh shit, its idling quieter" effect so I'll stick with that for a while.

O'Reilly's Syntec, so far. Looking at Edge.

0w-20 Pennzoil Ultra Platinum or Valvoline Advanced if that is unavailable. They both have some of the best UOAs I've seen for $35/gal or lower. Regular Pennzoil Plat is good and is what I ran before, but Valvoline Advanced has a better addpack IMO.

So, PPUP > VA > PP for me.

(I run boutique oils in my Supra however, and those are either 5w-40 Amsoil Signature or Redline. This is because that has a built motor and puts up with a ton of heat and stress .)

Castrol Edge 5w-30

I did the oil change on my car at 10,600 miles. First one was done at Toyota at 6k.

I used Motul 8100 ECO-lite 5w20 and also replaced the differential fluid with Amsoil Severe Gear 75w90

I assume you are in colder weather?

I used 5w20 because of the hot temps here in AZ.

Lol, I’m in SoCal.

I'm drinking the Amsoil kool-aid..... Amsoil SS 5w30

M1 5w-30. Perfect for my NorCal weather.

Idemitsu 0w20

Motul X-Clean EFE 5w30 this last change.
