Found this document showing some more pricing information, specs, packages, color codes, etc including the production date addressed to "dealer principals and general managers".

Yup.

So everyone with dealers telling you “your car is in production.” Your car isn’t yet.

Thanks for sharing this @NA6! I wonder if Toyota is going to do some kind of an announcement on the 11th when they start production.

As long as it doesn't delay the production of the Australian batch of BRZ :D

No mention of any GR parts  - though usually Toyota offers factory-installed PPF as an install option in the configurator, let's hope the doc is just the basics and not the add-ons.
Toyota might do a little celebration as the first 86 rolls off the assembly line.

Maybe the accessories were on the 3rd page 😅

Third page was blank
If production begins on the 11th, their announcement of units arriving in early December sounds like a long stretch now.

This is what I keep saying to people. A common thing I see (which I agree on) is if you haven’t seen customers in japan receive their cars yet, just assume you’re looking at a January time frame.
Best case scenario they really did begin production today, and just didnt update anything online... I hope.

Interestingly - I've browsed to this page previously in the past and have gotten a 404 (expected)

Now I'm getting 'loading' in multiple browsers - I think Toyota has staged the content now and is blocking it - hopefully it pops up soon.

Good catch! I will take anything I can get at this point lol. I would be overjoyed to hear the cars arriving in December, even January would be nice. I'm 17th at one dealer and 7th at another. Hoping that lands me at least one of the first batches.

How did you navigate to that link? When I go to toyota.com it still shows the 2020 86 and then the GR86 under "upcoming vehicles". I can't get to the place where I'd click to build the GR86, if that makes sense.

I just looked at the URL of another vehicles configurator and replaced the values with what I’m assuming will be correct once launched.
