Here's some great photos of the new BRZ in Magnetite Grey Metallic. If you see more photos be sure to add them below.
from what ive seen theyre all optional accessory in japan. none of it was available when i pre ordered mine. they only had the standard stuff like mats, homelink, etcLooks so mean. Does anyone have any info on the front aero? It looks different than a regular BRZ. The brake vents (intakes?) look like they have LEDs on them, as well as a new crossmember. Is this part of the STi front underspoiler option listed in the Instagram post?
Do you think the silver stands out from other silver cars? Sure, WR Blue is nice, but I always think of WRX’s when I see that color. Do you currently have a BRZ or still shopping?I also live in New Mexico. The Crystal White Pearl maybe the logical practical color due to the strong sun but I still am a fan of either the Ice Silver Metallic or the WR Blue pearl. I think both colors really show off the curves of this car.
For me, the often mentioned dip has not been much of an issue, even driving up to Sandia crest, over 10,000 ft. I think it becomes an issue more for those taking it to a track. The high RPM peak on the pre-2022 is a bit misleading since it reaches almost the same peak before the dip. In Santa Fe, I think the BRZ might be best as a 2nd car, having an AWD for the snow and ice.No I'm still shopping. I have a 2017 Fiat 500 Abarth in a color very similar to Neptune Blue. Due to the fact I live in Santa Fe and I'm at 7000 feet I felt version 1 of the BRZ/86 would really suffer from the altitude due to the torque curve dip. The Abarth is not all that powerful but it is a turbo and does have very good mid range torque. The new BRZ virtually eliminates the dip and max torque is at 3700 RPM makes this car a viable option to buy now.
Is there any particular reason why you prefer the BRZ over the GR86?For me, the often mentioned dip has not been much of an issue, even driving up to Sandia crest, over 10,000 ft. Mainly I’m just a Subaru guy. I bought the first Forester when they came out in 1998, my last MT car. Then I got the Forester XT with AT in 2004 when they introduced the turbo (still have it). Then came my 2017 BRZ Limited with STI rims. But I also prefer the grill on the 2022 BRZ vs the 86.Is there any particular reason why you prefer the BRZ over the GR86?
Ha! Maybe my age too! I have no desire to be the old man in the red sports car, even though it doesn’t look bad. I would pay extra for something like the Porsche Chalk color. Check it out. If I demand that, I must buy a Porsche at about $68K.Yes I agree. But maybe its my age but the BRZ has a more sophisticated less "boy racer" look than the GR86.
