Low beam adjustments

Anyone know off hand if there is there is a way to adjust the low beam angle? I haven’t looked at the manual yet but did a quick search and don’t see any discussion about it. I find the low beam length and cutoff very short/low. If it could be adjusted easily between inspections, that would be a life saver, literally.

I'm not near my car or anything but I would guess is there is a screw or turn dial somewhere around the headlight to adjust them. Again, that's my guess

Page 333 in the manual has the instructions for the headlight aim!

Nice, I figured there is a way, but I guess no one has done this yet.

Maybe it is just a base model thing. The adaptive lights on the upper trim are self leveling.

Should be a screw/bolt you can turn like other cars on top of the headlight housing under the hood. You can do this even for the self-leveling cars. There's a sensor, usually at one of the rear suspension links that is used to automatically adjust the aim. But the baseline set level can still be low.

they are?! I read they weren't on the second gen due to there not being a leveling sensor attached to the suspension.

I'm lowered about 20mm, so I figured I needed to slightly adjust mine.

EDIT: just looked it up and sure enough. that's awesome!
I think it is self leveling on all trims, but I was looking for a manual way to control it. I still haven’t had time to check the manual. Just so busy lately.
The manual is sort of vague but it looks like you have to turn two bolts:

One will be horizontal (left/right) adjustment, and one will be vertical (up/down) adjustment

edit: upon further review it looks I'm wrong, its for each projector so I imagine low beam and high beam are separate

Exactly, it is sort of vague on the details of what each does. I assume both are for vertical adjustment since the heading says vertical adjustment. Since they are saying to rotate the exact same for each, I wonder if it is the whole housing? Eventually I get time to experiment.
my understanding is that its vertical only for both sides.

That is how I read it as well.

I adjusted mine on a 2022 BRZ Limited, its a nylon bolt 8mm. Turn clockwise to go up, counter to go down.

IIRC, the leveling sensor is on the left rear suspension.
But why are there two bolts on one side?
Can this be done on both Premium & Limited BRZs?

I've gathered one's hi the other is low beam but don't know if both modles are manually adjustable

That is what I would think, but they say turn them the exact same amount? I just find it odd they are telling you to adjust both the same, and not independently. What if one is off and the other is ok? Then again, they don’t even go over how to set the proper beam hight, most likely because of different laws/legal concerns. I guess they just want the customer to take it to Toyota in the local area, for a small fee of $200 😂

there was nothing back there when I lowered the car. First gens had that however...
