I'm editing the post leaving the original below.

Just got emailed by the Greddy folks to let me know I won't see my rear wing until the first week of June.

You'd think spending as much as I did on my gf's engagement ring on a rear wing would speed up the shipping right? Sigh.

I'll repost when I get the package. And ya I know my priorities are backwards. I should have spent less on the ring and gotten the side skirts.

Thanks all. Love this site!

I have a Neptune Blue 2022 GR86 Premium which as you know, comes with the duckbill spoiler. I've just bought the GReddy CF rear wing and the uprights for it are molded for the base model trunk.

Here's the fun part. The duckbill from the factory is drilled into the original trunk lid. If I remove the duckbill, I have a bunch of ugly holes to repair.

I'm proposing to all you neptune blue base model owners a trade. You can have my entire trunk if you trade me yours.

It's free! I live in Ontario Canada but if I have to, we could ship or arrange something. I will fill and repair the holes if there are no takers but, that is the last thing I want to do and would much rather gift the duckbill to whomever wants it.

PM me and we will discuss.

Thanks,
Steve

You don’t need to swap the entire trunk lid. The duckbill and even the non-spoiler model are a separate plastic piece from the actual lid that comes off with a few bolts and clips. You would only need to swap that part, or you could just buy that part on your own and swap it in place of the duckbill. I believe they even come already painted from the factory.

Maybe this is why I don't have a gf. I spend all the money on myself. 🤣

Also, congrats on getting engaged!

Hey all!

With some major attention to detail and some major care, I managed to fit the GReddy CF rear spoiler with side uprights to the car WITH the duckbill spoiler still in place!!!

I apologize to whomever's hopes I raised by offering the duckbill to you as a swap. I think you can all understand how much of a nervous moment it was to actually punch a dent into the trunk and then actually drill into those to make holes. HOLY ____ that was scary. One false move or a slip of the hand and the drill bit would have run down the side of the car. Fortunately it turned out perfectly.

I wanted to at least post some pics of the completed wing install here for you to comment on whether you all approve or not of the looks.

Thanks all!! I really appreciate your input.

I didn't have to trim at all. Instead, I just used thick 3M around it since the ducktail is only half an inch thick on its edges. It turned out to be really easy.

Scary as you know what drilling into the trunk but if you use a metal punch to dent it first...the drill bit doesn't wander. So it is bolted on there snug.

The car gets a ton of looks now. I doubt I'll ever drive it fast enough to realize and benefit of the wing, but I'll take all the looks for now!

:)
