Like everyone I’m anxiously awaiting the new car and so far I’m really enthusiastic about the things that I see Toyota and Subaru have improved over the previous generation. So I’m interested to see what other forum members have encountered on the previous car and what they see as an improvement on the new model.
Of course the most obvious being the improved displacement by there’s a lot of other things that make me really happy as well.
For starters, I’d like to point out the new taillights that hopefully won’t fill up with water anymore so I don’t have to put them in the oven anymore once a year….

Ok, first of... that's really ****ing funny. 🤣🤣
2nd, I'm glad that it seems like they improved the transmission because I do agree with some people that it is a little klunky or rough sometimes especially into 4th.
3rd, I love that it comes with Adaptive steering headlights, that's so cool to me.
4th, I'm glad they moved the side markers on to the bumper and not wedge it between the bumper, the Fender, and the hood.
5th, love the functional front air vents.
6th, love the GR brand
7th, the digital gauge cluster reminds me of the 90s in weird way.
8th, I'm looking forward to driving it because people are saying, "Finally, it has the power it deserves and I want to really feel it to see the difference
9th, I'm liking the Premium wheels more than the last gen.
10th, I like the arm rest in the middle, it could've been a real simple one, but they took the time to make it open down the middle
11th, I love the duck bill spoiler that comes on the Premium Model, but I'm really looking forward to seeing the options on the car when it's available. (I will say though that Toyota is really lazy on their website not showing how the options look compared to Subaru, but they'll probably upload a video of them on YouTube.

2, 3, 4 and 5 are very good points. I wonder about the aerodynamics as the previous gen really felt ‘floaty’ at high speed not unlike my Impreza GT Turbo strangely enough.

I’d be interested if any other members ever experienced some noise from the windows on the previous edition and if the same noise is present on the new car. It manifests at higher speeds and is caused by the windows not sealing properly against the rubbers. It gets worse when more play evolves on the windows from shutting the doors. My 2012 BRZ suffered from it from the very beginning.
