Are you leaning one way or the other?I always come-back here... Trying to decide if red or wrb is better🤔😥 hard choice for sure
WRB does fit the car well for sure with the metalic and it's iconic subaru... But also m'y current car is a darkish Blue (Mazda 3)🙄 sometimes a change in color can be nice tooAre you leaning one way or the other?
Glad I am in a rear tag only state. It does break up the lines. What these pics confirms is that a front license plate absolutely ruins the look of the car. Man, one little thing wrecks the front end.
Lots of beautiful cars have license overhang. I do not even register it.What these pics confirms is that a front license plate absolutely ruins the look of the car. Man, one little thing wrecks the front end.
Touch ups are more difficult, because repairers tend to blend the colours - that's hard with two base coats. Repainting the entire part is easy though.Well I changed my order from White to Red! ETA early March.
My '17 is the same white and I really love it (and love that it never needs washing). I was simply going to get another white since it really works for me. But my heart secretly longed for a change and the Limerock journalist pics of the red kindled a fire inside me.
I couldn't get a grasp on this red though, since it shows different in every pic or video. And I really didn't think that I was a red-car guy (I'm 50 with kids). But I saw it in the flesh (albeit under showroom lights), and it is everything (and more) that you see on the web. The red is rich, clean, bright, and exciting, tending ever so slightly towards orange. It is a little less orange than Patsimca's pics above. The two front-view pics from the dealer lot in japan in Haskins' post at the top are pretty accurate. (At least on my computer.)
I understand that it is a tri-coat (2 different color basecoats under the clearcoat). This means an extra coat during manufacturing and therefore a bit more cost. That's why you pay extra for this color at ToyotaI am told that this does not make it harder to touch-up or match, but that there are simply two basecoat colors to apply when it comes time to repair. Can anyone confirm? I also heard somewhere that the primer color is white rather than black so that I can expect white scratches. I guess I'll find out when it gets its first rock chip or parking curb rash. Can't wait to see whether it needs a lot of TLC to keep that pop. I expect that it will be much easier than black or magnetite, but a bit more work than white or silver.
