The 7 1/2 are only for the base GR86. My understanding the 8 wheel size is the same for Premium & Anniversary. Except the AE has the 18” forged satin black matte spokes - which as more I look at it …starting to grow on me…

this section is what I was referring to the 7 1/2 for premium vs 8 for the se car

Invasion of the Charmanders!!!

Btw stealership called me again from El Cajon Toyota ($7.5K market adjustment) I told them Str8 out they’re crooks!

I have a special edition model coming into my dealer. I told them to not remove any of the white shipping plastic. Does anybody know why that YouTube video shows many of the cars do not have the protection plastic on the hood roof etc.

I just got done looking at the video and noticed that those special edition cars do not have the special edition 18 inch forged wheels. I can't figure out why they wouldn't have the proper wheels on them. Maybe that's why they're all sitting at the port, maybe they ran short of wheels at the factory and they just shipped them out with what they had and that they're waiting to put the wheels on before they ship them to the dealers.

The wheels are port installed accessories along with the stripes and exhaust.

Thanks for the explanation on the port installed accessories. To me it just seems like a huge waste of money why don't they just put that stuff on at the factory. Sounds like some of these big companies run their business like our government and just waste money like it's no big deal. I owned my own business for 30 years if I ran it like that I wouldn't of made it through the first year.

The real waste of money comes from the fact that the wheels & exhausts are thrown in the trash.

Here it is, I received few days ago at dealer. But it’s been raining here since… You‘ve all probably seen many pics of the Solar Shift, so here’s just some pics of Longo Toyota . The largest Toyota dealer in North America, in fact the largest inventory worldwide. They even have a Starbucks, Subway, & 3rd party car rental inside the showroom area.

I was lucky, someone declined their spot & I took over in Jan. My salesman said i was higher up the allocation spot. FWIW he did mention the delays have been dependent on the ASE parts mainly the wheels, allocation spot, & dealer location. Often they don’t know port information until the day it’s released. Longo is the biggest, so they get majority of the cars, no MSRP, but heavy long waiting list.

I do hope all of you get the model they want soon, doesn’t matter if it’s the 10th Anniversary

A few thoughts having driven the car on I-5 freeway from L.A area down to San Diego. I just love the car‘s handling & clean looks. For me the color is what sets it apart. I realize some are polarized on the color, but that’s ok, I’ve driven black & silver cars for the most part & It’s time for me with some color… Driving in the city with turns & some twists is what sets the 86 apart. I can’t wait for canyon runs…. Really love the exhaust. Its on the lower
range of rumble for some, but to me, it fits with what the car is.

Some gripes…on windy stretches I could feel the body getting pushed around due to wind. I’m wondering about my drive to Vegas in the summer, that stretch has windy desert gusts. The plastics are a bit sub-par…. I almost broke the handle latch when trying to flip the seats to get to the back. AND to reiterate what many have said, the brakes are sub-par imo. It would have been nice if these were upgraded.

Haven’t seen a GR86 or GRC down here yet. Some FRS though. Most of the car meets up north, but I think one in northern SD meets the last Sunday of the month. I have to search exactly where. But planning to go this month if it doesn’t rain.
