What does that nosecone thing do? Reminds me of when impact bumpers came out in the US and manufacturers—especially European makers of sports cars—tacked them onto existing designs that certainly weren’t meant to accommodate them almost like a passive aggressive FU to meeting the regulations for that one market.

I have the oil cap already, but they're remaking them with the GR vs TRD logo now. Oil filter is likely the same thing, same TRD filter (dimensions etc) as 1st gen, but they're redoing the bypass rating and adding GR logo lol.

But I do want the mirror and tail lights add-ons.

Not a fan of the body kit aero1 or 2 - for me its kind of sitting in a bit of a grey zone between racecar and sports car. Which may appeal to some I am sure, not me though. For instance I love the HKS racecar, and I love the standard GR86 (with spoiler) and my BRZ (which I got a TRD spoiler for - cause its boss). This in between stuff, I think they should of minimised the aero stuff to what looked good, or went full racecar. STI went subtle, and I think that STI kit looks fantastic (if I owned a red GR86, I would definitely be considering the STI kit because it modifies the look of the bottom of the car to sweep in line with the rest of the body curves).

However I DO love the GR performance stuff! My BRZ car is definitely stealing a bunch of those GR86 chassis items because I know a lot of that stuff is toyota specific and wont be part of STI's offering (which is actually quite slim). Not sure yet about the adjustable shocks, last time STI did also release these, so I am waiting to see if STI release their own branded ones, if not I'm getting them from mr toyoda san.

The GR Parts department lately has been a huge letdown. I find like 90% of their stuff for this car to be extremely tacky.

I had BlackHawk add all the new parts to the website today and promptly ordered the mirror/tail light add-ons and the GR oil filter (gonna be a nice long wait given that March eta). I passed on the roof spoiler thing as it just seems overly tacky to me like the full GR aero, canards, front mustache, and the fuel filler door cover.

I still want the performance dampers for the engine bay and the rear V-bar (pictured below) though.
