Does a weighted shift knob help shifter feel?

I have the GR shift knob, that came with the car, but I hate the "rubbery" feel when shifting gears. Sure the throws are short, but shifting gears is not fun in this car.

So, does changing to a heavier shift knob help with feel or is lighter better? I'm willing to burn my hand on a metal shift knob if it makes shifting more fun.

This is my first stick shift car, coming from a series of old trucks, all purchased used, all with 6 figure mileage, so my perspective may be different from a lot of users, but… this shifter feels like butter in comparison, maybe to a fault. Granted it’s just a smoother transmission, but if anything I want more feedback. I kinda miss the cronchy complaining long throws of those old trucks.
Light shift knob (~100g), 2" extension, and a reverse lockout adapter will get you there.

I learned stick mostly on an old floor shift F150 and understand...I do miss floor shifters (insert Nick Cage Elenor meme).
