On 1st gen cars, theirs proved to be pretty high quality and make good power. The downside is that the runner lengths are not nearly as uneven as most other brands. So that off balanced gurgle is barely noticeable.
I'm good with that. True UEL doesn't give much top end which is what i'm looking for 4k and up.

Form follows function. i totally realize that for most production cars getting the correct runner length is often impossible due to packaging constraints. Sometimes, you have to create some unorthodox parts, just to make it fit. The header below was the solution to get the long runners merged prior to going under the oil pan. This isn't possible under our engines, so we have to make due with compromises. I love the "subie rumble", but if EL gives me 5 to 10 more ponies up top, thats where my money will be.

I installed my JDL header today. Car sounds amazing. I did have an issue though. The skid plate would not go back on. It was hitting one of the header tubes on the passenger side. My options were to either run without a skid plate or "customize" it. So, I brought the skid plate out into the lawn along with my persuading tool (a 3lb mini sledge) and beat the shit out of it. I gotta say, it fits like a glove now. 🤣
Sound clip???

Photos???

How the hell are you going to post that you installed it and NOT give us the goods!!! 😂

I actually had my 1 and only track day with the car 2 weeks ago. I had a membership at autobahn for the last several years. I decided not to renew this year as work\family\home\life just doesnt allow me to get out there enough to justify the cost. Everything that matters is still stock on my car. Tires, brakes, fluid, suspension etc. So although I did drive it hard, it was maybe 7\10 and on the brakes way early. We had a few freakishly warm days pop up and I wasnt really prepared but went anyways. Lol
I was just watching the OEM oil temp gauge which on the BRZ does not give an exact number, but looked to peak right around 240f which is pretty spot on with your 115c.
I do plan on getting my tune soon plus pads and fluid then I hope to bring it to Road America this summer.
I'd love to join you at RA...but it's 1500 miles away!!
