I long for the simplicity of Honda's early double wishbone suspension designs. Simple engines with cables connecting the pedal to the throttle body. Parts interchangability and dead reliability. I built the D16A6 below. Single cam, NON-VTEC. Revved to 8300 and made 150 at the wheels from 1.6l on a conservative tune on 93 octane. The car weighed in at 1900 with me in it.

67-69 Camaro's were the heat back in the day and still bring stupid money. Every Camaro after the 69 was and is a no go!!

I dig the CRX! I had a ‘91 and it was a perfect commuter — fun, reliable, and economical. Driving the BRZ reminds me of that nimble little go-kart.
My family thinks the BRZ is small. But I just looked up stats to compare and the BRZ is 20 inches longer and 900 pounds heavier!
That's deliberate.

The new Integra, lol. The car is cool, but they could've reserved the Integra name for something more purpose built. We'll see how the Type S is, but I have a feeling it will still be outperformed by the FL5, which is like the opposite from the Golden Era times.

A 1986 or so Subaru station wagon that was front wheel drive with a four-wheel drive lever that locks the axle in the rear. On skinny tires in mud or snow with a locked rear axle that car could go anywhere and I never got stuck in it. Lot of fun times in undergrad School at the University of Connecticut with that car. Then they went to the all-wheel drive platform which meant one wheel in the front and one wheel in the rear. Gas mileage was cut by 1/3.

The new Z was a huge disappointment to me. Was going to buy at announcement until I saw it.
240z-280z, 300zx (90-96) were great. Not really a fan of the 350z-370z either.
Acura NSX. The new gen (hybrid). Another car wouldve bought but they ruined the look IMO. Had a 91 NSX that I loved.
Acura Integra: Expected a hot hatch and got a boring grocery getter. (dont like sporty 4 doors)
new Toyota Supra. Not a fan. a little overdone.

i feel this after both my wifes and i cars got totaled in a flood she bought a 2014 mitsubishi lancer outright. but shit didnt listen because its cool!.... its a ES model with a CVT not a EVO
. now i have to deal with the trans fluid and filter changes. its not fun.
I just bought an 8th gen SI as a daily, this ones tuned, so can confirm reving to 8500 rpm is tons of fun!
MR2. The 3rd gen went down a weird fork in the road. Had two second gens, to me they looked more forward thinking styled than the third gen. Both 1st and second gens were cohesive vehicles in and out, the third gen has schizophrenia and multiple identity crises. Hope they don't attempt at a fourth gen.
I loved my 3rd gen. I wanted it to look like a 2nd gen, but once I sat behind the wheel, I stopped caring. Most fun car I've ever owned.
