I was a huge Celica fan till the last generation.
Celica GT-Four is still on my bucket list and maybe a 72' to stuff a 1UZ in.

I knew several people that had them blow up under 100k. Could it have been a lack or proper use or maintenance? Maybe, but no thanks. I also think they're ugly af lol. They're good looking, have a fantastic chassis, and the Renesis is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be. I bought mine with 60K on it and sold it at 160K with nothing more than routine maintenance.
At least you gave it a chance. It's definitely not a perfect car, and it's def like 2% Toyota lol.I wanted to love the A90, till I finally got around to playing with one. It looks good at certain angles, fugly at others. Hated the interior. Drove okay other than being an auto, but even now that they're available manual I have zero desire.
I don't notice much buffeting in the ND1 RF as long as the windows are up and the car is doing 70 or under (top down). It has wind noise as expected, but none of that billowing, head splitting you get in some other cars. The Achilles heel of the RF is that wind buffeting is pretty bad with the top open. If you only want to use it as a coupe, that wouldn't be an issue.
