I get that it's FWD, but that Celica GT-S was a bit of a cheat car for enthusiasts.
2zz with roughly 2500lbs curb weight, and it's actually a hard top so rigidity isn't ruined with a soft top (which might help with additional curb weight loss)

Answer to the topic: Latest GTi and Golf R. Not a "favorite" but definitely up there.

RX-8's are fantastic, I regret ever selling mine. Will probably own one again someday.
Supra for sure. Should've just let it die with the MKIV. Same with Skyline. Should've left it at R34.

They're good looking, have a fantastic chassis, and the Renesis is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be. I bought mine with 60K on it and sold it at 160K with nothing more than routine maintenance.
I got something you're gonna love then. I love the A90 and feel it's a great Supra despite the obvious BMW dna...

Jokes aside, I was gonna talk about the Skyline thing, but the issue there is that run of the mill skylines were always pretty lame IMO. The GTR is entirely different, and I'm not a huge R35 guy, but that car was a world beater for years.

I knew several people that had them blow up under 100k. Could it have been a lack or proper use or maintenance? Maybe, but no thanks. I also think they're ugly af lol.
I wanted to love the A90, till I finally got around to playing with one. It looks good at certain angles, fugly at others. Hated the interior. Drove okay other than being an auto, but even now that they're available manual I have zero desire.
At least you gave it a chance. It's definitely not a perfect car, and it's def like 2% Toyota lol.
I like the interior, but ours is also the A91-CF so it has the red and black. That regular all black interior is so boring it's wild, and the A91-MT tan is awful.
As a side note though, I definitely don't care for a lot of modern cars in terms of wanting one really bad. Not even nostalgia, just more about being bored with them due to not having what I call the "this thing feels like a death trap" experience.
Integra (DA/DC) -> current garbage iteration. I get that the Integra was always an upbadged civic, but at least in the 90s the sheet metal was different. Its playing on nostalgia, and it is not an entry level car by any means, especially if you want a manual.
Supra (A80) -> Supra (A90/1) The JZA80 Supra is hands down my all time favorite car. I was sooooo happy to see Toyota make it, and I didn't even really mind that it was half BMW, but the fact that they've made all these "concept" parts like the targa, and the heritage taillights / headlights and won't officially launch them is annoying. It's also got a horrible interior and didn't originally have a manual. Toyota plays up the nostalgia (again like Acura / Honda), gets interest, and then sells a slightly watered down version of the car.

The chassis is absolutely brilliant. In many ways it has a lot in common with the GR86.
Agree. So underrated it's obnoxious. 30K Nm/degree of rigidity like the new twins, rwd, double wishbones up front, great steering feel with a nice 6 speed manual. Owned 2. Had an EVO X in between that just wasn't for me.
