BRZ in Europe update

Good news!

I just received a call from a local Subaru dealer in Czechia, that the BRZ ZD8 will very very likely come to Europe. They are finishing marketing materials and everything looks very promising supposedly. The estimated price is 41k EUR for the MT and 43k EUR for the AT. Pricing based on the current exchange rate and including 21% VAT.

I believe the member here Focuspoke already mentioned the same for another EU country?

To my knowledge this is triggered by EU regulations, requiring a washing system for headlights exceeding a certain brightness which is the case with most xenon oo LE

There's one on Autoscout, don't know if it's sold already. I actually live 5km from there, bought my oil filter from them :)

two times I've ever waited for a car: in 2012, when I was one of the first in the country to get a GT86 (I was living in South Africa at the time) and now, for a BRZ..
It's my experience with the GT86 that made me decide to get (and wait for) this new version.. I still miss that car after all these years... most fun I've ever had driving, and the new one sounds even more promising...

not sure if it was mentioned here, but Germany will get 300 BRZs until the end of the year. New Subaru BRZ (2023): First test drive | autozeitung.de

Rumour on the Czech BRZ/86 forum/club says Czechia will get over 100 and the importer is striving to get more. Based on the registration numbers so far, I wouldn't be surprised.

And we Belgians get 10? Damn it really must sell badly over here :/
registration stats for Czechia in March:

Subaru BRZ - 22 pieces
Toyota GR86 - 1 piece (yes, one)
registration stats for Czechia in April:

Subaru BRZ - 6 pieces
Toyota GR86 - 0 pieces (yes, zero)

We must have the same regs. The au car also has them.

So happy for you all to get the car!

I have finally met the twin. The black and white looked stunning next to each other. And we even got similar plates!

You can "borrow" the mirrors from black BRZ, in case something happens with your GR86 🤣
Can't go wrong with colours on the twins, looks astonishing
I'm expecting my car in about 6 weeks.. so it should be on a ship around now..
as far as I know Subaru ships to Zeebrugge (Belgium) so if anyone has figured out by now how to track ships, let me know :)

Subaru ships to Rotterdam AFAIK

Did dealer said it to you?
You've made an order 21.03.2023?
I made one at 14 of April and no news from the dealer yet.
I used this link : Shipping Schedule | Japanese Used Cars Exporter, Dealer, Trader, Auction | SBT JAPAN to see which ships might be going from Japan to Europe.. I didn't see any ships headed to Rotterdam in there.
Since Zeebrugge is (I think) the largest RoRo port in Europe, I thought Subaru would ship there too

Yes I ordered in March.. and my dealer said end of June delivery, then changed it beginning of July.. So 4 weeks on a ship, 2 weeks for processing before delivery, then it should be shipping about now..
but I've also noticed that many people here received their car 1-2 weeks earlier than officially planned, so I'm just being hopeful :)
