Any Europe updates?

I've been searching everywhere and I can't find any info regarding GR86's launch date in Spain (or any European country, should be similar).

Does anyone have any updates at all? Toyota only changed their website and introduced the car briefly, but no release date, price or anything like it.

Cheers! Can't wait to get mine!

Got an update in MyToyota apps this morning, order is still processing but I can see all the future locations my car will go through. I guess it will be built next month ? (I didn’t receive any email yet)
OMG... mine did the same today :D

The day I was waiting for since 14 months! It is happening

At least GR86 owners can track their orders :)
I’m completely in the dark about my BRZ

how long did it take to receive the VIN after ordering? I guess you need the VIN to be able to track the car in MyT, right?
My car was supposed to be manufactured in May at yet i called my dealer today, still no VIN.
Hi To All
I ordered 26th April 23 a GR86 in south Germany at a GR-Toyota center. Just saw the screen of the dealers computer showing ordering status:
order income: 8th May 23
order reference_ NAME - 23 restvol
car condition: NCO non confirmed order
some order codes and car config No. and colour.

no VIN or Production date yet
well you can say good bye to your car probably this year, unless they do some crazy prioritisation, im pretty sure that order is just in germany, and japan will confirm if it gets an allocation

not true IMO, since the order is in the system and MY24 has not yet been introduced, the order must be for the MY23. And model years usually run until June-July, in Summer the plant will switch to MY24

I ordered in November 2022 and got the confirmation just last week with the info, that it will take approx. 1 year until I get the car - that would be May 2024. Why should someone who ordered in April 23 so basically is in the same batch like me, should get the car in this year? Esp. while others that have ordered 14 months ago are still waiting for their car?

well that has been discussed here many times. "Ordered" doesn't necessarily mean ordered, it may just be a signed document on salesman's shelf and not actually logged in the system. Many dealers in Europe, especially in CZ, SK and DE, took "orders" even though the order system was not opened.

hold old, wait a minute, i have a GR86 and basically my only point in time was, assigned VIN in april, where the car was actually already made in start of march, but dealer told me in april, because the middle company between japan and dealer delays the data, and my next date was delivery 27 may, at dealer in June, yet my car arrived on 19th of may at the dealer, so theres that

they take the orders and actually type them it, problem is the CZ SK PL and i guess HU systems report to Central EU Toyota, which resides in Poland if im correct, and that relayes the information, there are just too many stops, we will never know. Also orders were opened before Feb 22 for SK, issue is, only unofficially, some dealers were proactive, and ordered some cars for their customers in the early batch, that means some lucky customers got the car in 2022 in SK
I told you everything will be ok! Yes, that actually means build date is locked and it will be manufactured in a month maximum. Expect delivery anytime from late July, more likely August.
I got the exact same thing, but i ordered it this April, i don't think it necessarely means that, or that would be strange

I think if you ordered a MY23 model, next month is probably your last chance to get your car built. In July or August it will be MY24.

Is there any difference between MY23 and MY24 ?

No one knows yet. MY24 hasn’t been introduced. But there wont be much changes since Subaru has never made significant changes in the car itself but rather made administrative changes.

The 22 and 23 difference was mainly in oil specification, different light stalk I believe and MT models didn’t receive eyesight tech (which wasn’t enabled in MT anyway). Also the AE model and introduction to new markets.

Hm but I thought there will be no MY24 cars for europe? The gr86 should be only available for 2022 and 2023 and thats it. Therefore this is the last chance to get the car ordered?

As mentioned above MY changes usually happen during the summer and not at calender year change (kind of early like fashion sales, you all know, right? ;-) ).
So I guess most GR86 newly ordered this year will be MY24 and delivered through the next 12 months. MY25 won't make it to Europe then due to legislation.
