My car finally arrived at the dealer last week, after placing my order in September 2022. I'm still waiting for the license plate and the completion of the remaining preparations before I can pick up the car. They've already rescheduled the date three times, and I can't wait to drive it around the city.

Today i received confirmation for my halo white BRZ Sport 6MT! According to my and some other dealers, the BRZs for Germany are already on the way. Mine should arrive end of April/May! STI Package is also ordered and will be installed when its here.

I get you man. This is pretty frustrating for me as well. They told us "Subaru is not coming to Europe", so we all jumped on the Toyota hype train, ordered a Toyota, now waiting for almost a year and one month ago we are told "okay, Subarus are coming to Europe after all" and now are coming in larger numbers and almost immediately after ordering (at least in CZ). For me, as a Subarist, owning other two Subarus and liking the BRZ better than GR, it's pretty frickin frustrating. The only comfort for me now is the price difference which I can now put into trackdays. But still...

Question, did the Toyota dealers in the south had Information about the GR86 last year during the "Autosfestival"?
Because when I was in Toyota Deltgen, they didnn't even know that this model was coming and were really unfriendly, why I said myself "Fuck those Luxemburgtards, I'd rather give my money to some germans". I went in October to Toyota Prüm (because when I wanted to go to the dealer the first year was already sold out) and they were very friendly and I could place my order, fingers crossed and knocking 3 times on wood to get mine.

Hi, I only know they opened the order books in April 2022 (I have no info from before). I only made up my mind in September after a test drive to place an order before it’s completely sold out. In Caravenue my dealer is very friendly, but he can only say what Toyota Europe says…”no news yet about your new car”.

what i can say is that sales for the GR86 started on 9th march 22 in Germany. And nothing happened the past 7 days. ...

Thats funny. I Wrote to 5 dealers in Germany in Summer 22 for placing an order and no one answered incl. Prüm (Bitburg HQ).
Was it even possible in Germany to place orders After March 22? You're Sure that you are not On the dealer specific waiting list?

In other words, that means: You can forget your new GR86, go next door and order a BRZ or any other car you want.
As we see now based on facts.

Waiting list orders in germany are basically binding purchase offers you sign with your dealer. You do everything, the paperwork and the financial parts and the paperwork will land in the dealers desk drawer. Maybe they can enter it in their local system, but these orders are NOT entered on the German/Europe Toyota order system, because that one is closed.

Being an binding purchase offer, you basically only have fixed order conditions the dealer has to follow IF he can allocate you a car. It does not mean that you get the car at all:
When the systems open again, all local dealers need to enter the purchase offers into the production system asap. With that being said, I assume there are already waaaayyyy more parked orders than available cars in the 2nd batch (rumored 500-600 again). So it will be a run for the dealers - and many people that wait will be disappointed.

My dealer told me he will process all waiting list orders in chronological order by order date, when the system is open again.

Hope they do that for Belgium as well, anyone on here that has received the letter? So I can pressure my dealer to do the same. When I asked about it at delivery they offered me to install it for 3-500€ (can't recall) which I refused.
