Oh, my bad. "I want aftermarket seat" that is about $1k and works with stock seat belt. Thanks! I don't understand this comment. If you don't have experience regarding this matter simply don't comment about it. You know what I want to improve about the seat? All the improvements that come with an aftermarket seat over the stock ones. If you don't know what those are, google is your friend.
Forgive us all, your highness, for not dropping everything and posting every single $1K seat on the market.

For incredibly vague questions in the future, might I suggest Let Me Google That

You're just not knowledgeable enough to comment or give recommendations or ask the right questions. It's fine but you don't need to comment here then.

Man, I sure hope you don't treat people like this when there isn't a computer screen between you. Talk about unpleasant.
he's afraid of getting backlash from his desire to have aftermarket seats without actually needing them. notice how he got unpleasant when the question "what do you need them for" was asked.

he could have easily written "i want the aesthetics of racing seats. how do i do this safely and keep it affordable?"

damn ill be fr u r coming off as pretty rude rn. id suggest taking some time to carefully reconsider your attitude and try again.

Ill try and be nice if you can answer a few questions for us.

What are you looking for? less then 2k total âś…, works with stock seat belt âś…, but what else?
Reclinable?, fixed back?, FIA cert?, color?, style?, halo?, brand? i mean there are a lot of options and such a broad range isnt going to help us narrow it down.

First off, everyone calm their tits.

Second off, I run a Recaro Pole Position ABE, it was roughly $1400 CAD, with the exchange rate, that is probably close to $1000 USD, you can do the math. That is seat alone, since you didn't specify total cost, not sure you've considered that you will need a mount for it. I am running Buddy Club Super low down mount (I believe fixed back only) $150 usd maybe? Thirdly you will need a resistor for the drivers seat to trick the airbag, few bucks or about $30 for one that fits the factory plug. Lastly the passenger seat will give you tons of headache with the occupancy sensor and will require a much more in depth solution if you don't want to look at the airbag light the whole time, think someone has this and it will cost a few hundred bucks.

The Pole Position ABE are designed for working in stock cars with stock seat belts. They are not FIA compliant and since again you have given zero detail on the use of the seat other then "sitting in", I presume it is just show, so this would work for you. You can get an extender and run it up through the hole for the buckle, I just have mine on the outside and it works perfectly fine, no fear of submarining.

Now fly little bird and go find your seat.

Considering it sounds like just daily for him this was my biggest question... Not something I'd want to deal with especially if the auto insurance is involved.

I'm okay with reclinable or fixed back and I would like FIA cert, using for autox. My understanding is that fixed back wouldn't work with the stock seatbelt.

Looking for FIA compliant as I'm using them for autox.

In reality, aftermarket quests never really end. Similar to a person indulging in any obsession. It never ends. Until it does. Change it, toss it, change it toss it,
Yeah, I can see that. I'm just looking for lighter/hold me better seats I can use for autox for now
