I remember reading that the chief engineer for the Supra, Tetsuya Tada said in 2019, that the Toyota 86 follow up will be even
better than the Supra.
I also remember reading that Akio Toyoda, head of Toyota wanted to partner with Porsche for a car.
What do you think?

I have always preferred the agile handling of lighter cars, so the 86 is preferable to a Supra in my view. I think the key bits of information everyone is waiting for are 1) how much more power and 2) how much more weight for the new 86. If Toyota keeps the weight down and adds more power, the new 86 is a no-brainer over the Supra in my opinion.

If you've ever looked at the Fast Lane Car web site and viewed video's from their " hot or not" section, they compared an 86/BRZ with a 2020 Supra. Their racing driver Paul(who played the Stig on the US version of Top Gear) preferred the handling of the 86/BRZ over the Supra. he felt the platform was more stable at speed than the Supra even though it was not as fast.
