According to Subaru's press release for the BRZ, the new car will have a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated engine.
It produces 228 horsepower, 184 pound-feet of torque and it redlines at 7,000 RPM.
A six-speed manual transmission is standard and a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters is optional.
